About

Since childhood I have had a special appreciation for storytelling. My art reflects this in that it seeks to capture the essence and spirit of the people I draw, telling their stories through images and conveying their emotions using texture and colour.

“I feel that falling in love with creating art is just as important as the final presentation.”

During the process of creating my work, much care and attention to detail is paid when selecting the materials I use. When thinking about the medium, I’m very conscious of what it may emote to my audience. My art is a fusion of abstract and detailed techniques using emulsion paint and biro pen. I use pen as it is a humble medium that often gets overlooked in the world of art, yet it is a tool we are all familiar with. I feel this allows my work to be more accessible to the viewer.

In 2021 I was fortunate to be winner of the people’s choice vote on London Live’s Next Big Thing, an art based competition featuring  11 of London’s most up and coming artists.  During the final exhibition of the show, I was awarded a bursary prize for my work.

Since then I have had a solo exhibition, expanding my collection, taking on private commissions and offering a range of more accessible personalised portraiture.
